In Iran, as of 2010, the area under fig cultivation spanned 55,480 hectares, producing 162,699 tons of fresh figs during favorable rainfall. Estahban Valley, located 777 km southeast of Iran, is renowned as the world’s greatest region for dried fig production, as recognized by the FAO. In 2010, fig orchards in Estahban covered approximately 22,950 hectares, yielding 17,000 tons of dried figs. This area constitutes about 5.3% of the global fig cultivation zone and represents 6.5% of world fig production. The valley’s soil and climate are ideal for fig growth, allowing trees to thrive in the hot summer sun without irrigation. The figs produced here are organic and natural, as no chemical fertilizers or hormones are used in their cultivation, ensuring high-quality dried figs that meet health-conscious consumer demands.

Dried Figs 101AAA

This is the most exclusive and expensive type among all Iranian dried figs. The main characteristic of this type is the white color or slightly yellow. This type is big in size and majority of figs of this type are the open mouth, which makes them easy to eat and chew. The size of each fig in this type shouldn't be less than 22 mm and close mouth figs are not allowed to be more than 10%.

This is another type of Iranian dried figs, which also belongs to open mouth type. This type is smaller compared to 101AAA and more reasonable in price. This type is also white and yellow but the size of each fig is around 22mm with around 10 to 15 percent of the closed mouth.

This is the most favorable type for export, due to being competitive in price. This type of dried fig has some differences to other types, firstly the majority of figs in this type are closed mouth and the color of this type should be white or yellow but having some brown color figs are also acceptable. The size of figs is in the range of 14 to 22 mm. it's also possible to see some open mouth figs in this type.

 This product is made by pressing wetted figs by machine and is available in 200gr, 250gr, 400 gr packs. The color of figs is darker than the grade A.
